Two tiered Wall Guardian with Lichen and Elk
This beautiful, stacked hanging was created using soft up-cycled silver yarn, deep turquoise cording and a bright mossy green complimented by preserved lichen from the forests of Whidbey Island. Crafted with the jaw of an elk scavenged in the North Cascades, and finished at the ends with feathers and up-cycled leather tassels, this piece is a rich cascade of materials to delight the senses and fill the viewer with wonder.
All of our wall hangings are one-of-a-kind, and made from a mix of materials from various sources: scavenged, hand crafted, vintage, up-cycled, or in some instances new. All animal materials are sourced ethically, from either animals that have passed to the next world and whose discovered remains have been lovingly tended, or in the case of feathers, molted naturally from animals that are often still living.
